Centeotl
Centeotl
This piece started rough—something I built, set aside, and forgot about. Months later, I came back to it with fresh eyes, reworked the form, and repainted the frame after a friend’s suggestion. When it was finally done, it reminded me of corn—simple, familiar, but somehow sacred.
That led me to Centeotl, the Aztec god of maize—a symbol of life, ritual, and the deep connection between people and the earth. Naming the piece Centeotl felt like honoring that spirit.
It’s a work about transformation, timing, and the quiet way meaning rises to the surface—when we’re finally ready to see it.
Constructed of Apoxie Sculpt, aluminum sheet metal, repurposed materials.
Dimensions - 8.75”Hx7”Wx3”D
